Pastor Demosthene is challenging the neighbors of Erie Street, Ellington Street, and nearby intersections to showcase their talent. Paint the Erie-Ellington Playground—a scene alive with fountains and summer glow—on a 15x15 or larger acrylic/oil canvas, and receive $200 cash on the spot at the open-air event. Additionally, if your artwork sells within six months, you’ll receive half of the sale price. Let’s celebrate our community through art—this challenge stays open even after the event! As the sun began to set, the Erie-Ellington Playground radiated with the joy and creativity that filled the day. Participants of all ages—children, teens, and adults—gathered together, proudly holding up their finished paintings. The grassy area beneath the tall trees became a gallery of vibrant landscapes, butterflies, sunsets, and tropical scenes, each canvas telling its own story of inspiration and discovery. Families smiled, neighbors connected, and first-time painters marveled at the artwork they had created, many for the very first time. The atmosphere was warm and celebratory, with laughter, conversations, and shared pride marking the success of an unforgettable community art experience.

HHA Bridge to Care: Pre-Training Support Global Reach Evangelical Missionary Church (GREMC), in partnership with the Synthesis Institute for Learning & Development and under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Ebzer Joseph, has launched a noble and much-needed initiative to address a persistent barrier in workforce development: the digital divide and fundamental literacy gap. CALL OR TEXT US The Pre-HHA Bridge Program: A Targeted Solution 🎯 OBJECTIVES: Bridge the literacy and technology gap preventing access to healthcare training Prepare non-literate or semi-literate individuals to access and succeed in HHA programs. Provide hands-on computer and digital navigation skills. Foster confidence, comprehension, and functional communication in their preferred language. Build a community of peer support, mentorship, and pathway toward certification and employment. Target Audience: Immigrants and adults in Massachusetts who wish to become HHAs Individuals with low or no literacy (in English or native language) Individuals with no computer literacy or internet access Duration: 3–4 weeks, with flexibility to extend based on learners’ progress and individual needs. The program is designed to adapt to the pace of adult learners, allowing extra time for those who may need additional support. Empowering Adults for HHA Success Through Foundational Skills This program is specifically designed to serve immigrant and non-English-speaking populations by providing them with the core skills necessary to begin and succeed in certified HHA training. Serving Linguistically Diverse Communities The program focuses on adults who speak Haitian Creole, Spanish, Cape Verdean Creole, and other non-English languages. ERIE Community Canvas Erie Community Canvas is a vibrant seasonal indoor and open-air art initiative launched by Global Reach Evangelical Missionary Church (GREMC), located on Erie Street in Boston, Massachusetts. With strong support from the City of Boston and local civic leaders, this program aims to revitalize a historically underserved corner of the neighborhood, transforming it into a vibrant “art zone” where beauty, dialogue, and community renewal intersect. Erie Community Canvas is established for purposes which include, but are not limited to, the following objectives: Promoting art literacy and creative community engagement through free or low-cost public visual art events, exhibitions, and workshops—with a focus on painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, photography, digital arts, graphic design, filmmaking, and illustration. Advancing cultural enrichment and dialogue by providing accessible artistic programs for underserved communities. Supporting education and personal development through art as a tool for healing, unity, and empowerment. Collaborating with schools, civic organizations, and other nonprofits to enhance community well-being through creative expression. 2024 ART EVENT 2025 ART EVENT 01 Artistic Practice and Creative Vision Pastor Demosthene brought years of experience in art curation, drawing, and painting to the congregation and the Erie Street community. As an interdisciplinary artist, artist-curator, and visual storyteller, he uses visual art to explore identity, resilience, and spirituality. 02 Gather. Create. Transform. Our Erie Community Canvas vision had been quietly taking shape over the past few years. We knew our calling extended beyond joyful praise and worship—we wanted to make a lasting impact. In the summer of 2024, we launched a pilot program indoors, using the church’s breakfast space as a creative hub for this emerging initiative. 03 Lesson Hook: Five-Minute Masterpiece to Inspire Creativity The instructor is wrapping up a live painting in just five minutes to captivate and engage the participants right from the start. 04 Painting Session progressing Brushes are moving, colors are blending, and creativity is flowing. Guided by the instructor’s step-by-step directions, participants are now bringing their canvases to life—each stroke a personal expression, yet part of a shared artistic journey. Joyful Parallel Unfolds with the children While youth and adult participants concentrate on their acrylic paintings in the open air, the pastor’s office is transformed into a vibrant mini studio—a space where imagination knows no bounds. Inside, children laugh, explore, and create with their own set of art supplies. Guided by Pastor Demosthene and Children's Leader Myriam, they enjoy a safe and joyful atmosphere filled with color, music, and storytelling. Their brushes dance across canvas as they express what words cannot—pure creativity shaped by joy, curiosity, and faith.

A Heritage from the Lord: Baby Dedication Ceremony Psalms 127: 3 At GREMC, we believe every child is a precious gift from God and deserving of prayer, blessing, and spiritual covering. We recognize that many single mothers and families in the Christian community may not currently be affiliated with a local church but still desire to dedicate their child to the Lord. Baby Dedication Ceremony - Children Up to 12 Years Old Pastor Demosthene and the GREMC pastoral team warmly welcome you to our Baby and Child Dedication Ceremony, a sacred moment of prayer, blessing, and spiritual commitment. While we understand that not all parents may be fully committed Christians, we kindly ask that those presenting a child for dedication agree to respect and uphold GREMC’s doctrine, values, and policies throughout the ceremony. In addition to infants and toddlers, we extend this opportunity to children ages 6 to 12 whose parents or guardians may not have dedicated them earlier but now wish to do so. This is a special step of faith, inviting God’s covering and guidance over their lives. Divine Immunity. Identity and Purpose This dedication is not a baptism, but a sacred and public commitment to raise your child in a way that honors God—inviting His guidance, grace, and divine covering for the journey ahead. Through this act of dedication, we pray for divine immunity—protection from harm, spiritual attacks, and destructive influences. Deaconess Maherlyne Desert Treasurer The Church Treasurer is responsible for managing the church’s financial resources with integrity and transparency. Deacon Masinio Pierre Assistant Treasurer & Youth Ministry The Assistant Treasurer supports the Church Treasurer in maintaining accurate financial records, processing offerings and expenses, and helping ensure financial accountability. Germain Paryer Ministry The Associate Pastor & Prayer Ministry Leader provides spiritual support to the church through preaching, teaching, and pastoral care, while also overseeing and strengthening the church’s prayer life. This includes planning logistics, and overseeing event setup. Deacon Jacky Colas Men's Ministry The Men’s Ministry exists to equip and encourage men to grow in their relationship with God, lead with integrity, and serve their families, church, and community with purpose. Many Hands, One Mission The church is richly blessed with a diverse and dedicated team of volunteers and professionals from various fields who serve across a broad spectrum of ministries, supporting both the congregation and the wider community. Some offer practical and humanitarian care—providing medical assistance such as vital signs, distributing food and clothing, and supporting families in times of crisis. Others are deeply engaged in spiritual formation and education, faithfully serving in Sunday School and the Children’s Ministry to teach, mentor, and nurture the next generation in the truth of God’s Word. Our worship and creative ministries are equally vibrant, led by committed teams in the Music Ministry, Media Ministry, and multiple church choirs who inspire and lead the congregation in heartfelt praise and worship, both onsite and online. In addition, many volunteers serve in emotional and spiritual care, offering prayer, encouragement, and compassionate support to those facing personal or spiritual challenges. Behind the scenes, others contribute faithfully to church maintenance and operations, helping ensure that our facilities remain clean, functional, and welcoming for all who enter.
