The K–12 Energy Bill Saving Clinic recognizes that children and teenagers play an important role in household energy use. Students use lights, electronics, chargers, computers, televisions, hot water, heating, cooling, and other home resources every day. By teaching young people simple energy-saving habits, the program helps them become energy-saving helpers at home while also connecting their families with bill-saving opportunities, benefits, and community resources.
This could work especially well with:
Parent nights
After-school programs
Family resource fairs
